As I mentioned, I have an abundance of Christmas spirit this year.
A few years ago, I found this amazing frame at Goodwill and made it into a chalkboard.
I used it in my classroom for a year or two and then it came home.
It holds the football schedule every year and has been hung in a couple places.
This year it found a good home in the kitchen.
Since last weekend was the end of regular college football season and the start of Christmas season, I needed something on my chalkboard.
This is always a struggle for me.
I need inspiration!
So, I went to Pinterest. Of course!
Two hours later…..
I had this.
(And some recipes, outfit ideas and another holiday project!)
I think I’d like snowflakes instead of the ornaments.
I grabbed one of the stencils from my Snowflakes Blocks project.
Climbed up on the counter with chalk, a wet sponge, dry papertowels and my laptop.
I had to keep that pin open to look at.
I know this picture is blurry.
I have one that isn’t from when I made these, but I wanted to share the joy of me almost falling off the counter.
That’s what was happening as I snapped this picture. LOL!
Being short has it’s issues.
I drag a step stool around the house with me.
And I am a master climber.
Now, to attempt the writing.
(Hear that? All of my elementary teachers just gasped!)
I DID IT!!!!
I added the cute little tree and the burlap around the bottom and I love it. This is one of those things that I surprised myself with.
I can’t believe this is hanging in my home and I did it!
I love the lake sign above my board.
My sister got that for me for Christmas one year.
The lake really is the way the arrow is pointing.
I am weird about that.
The arrow HAS to be pointing towards the lake.
The hounds were asleep in living room this whole time.
There wasn’t food involved so they didn’t bother to get up.
Eat, Drink and Be Merry!!!
